Bronzer: are darkening agents that provide instant color, but wash off. They are added to Accelerators and Maximizers.
Accelerator: use to obtain a base tan. It includes moisturizers to protect skin from damage.
Maximizer: use after obtaining a base tan to intensify tan.
Tingle: use after obtaining a base tan. Use precaution as it is not recommended to use if you have sensitive skin. It works by increasing the blood flow to the upper layer of skin.

Question: What’s the difference between each product?
Answer: Hempz bronzers allow you to achieve a tan without the use of artificial light or sunlight. Bronzers active ingredient is DHA, which enables you to achieve sunless color while the tan maximizers aid in the UV-tanning process. Apply bronzer in a circular motion for best results. Hempz Maximizer (Accelerator) tanning lotion is for tanning with the assistance of either indoor tanning bed or outdoor sunlight. If used outdoors, you should wear SPF sun screen under the tanning lotion to help protect your skin since its difficult to monitor the amount of time spend outdoors versus an indoor tanning bed. Hot Bronzer Tan Maximizer (tingle) works by raising blood to the just below the surface of the skin. This in turn speeds up the tanning process. When using Hempz Lotion Hot, the skin will turn red, be warm and can provide a tingle sensation. This product is best suited for experienced tanners. People with sensitive skin should use caution in using a hot product.
Question: Is it OK to use bronzers for tanning outdoors?
Answer: Yes, but do use caution as indoor tanning lotions do not contain SPF protection.
Question: How soon can I swim or bath after applying Bronzer?
Answer: Cosmetic bronzers wash off while DHA bronzers do not. Hempz 20X Bronzer Tan Maximizer, Hempz 25X Bronzer Tan Maximizer, and Hempz Hot Bronzer Tan Maximizer contain DHA. Using these prior to bathing or swimming will not affect their performance.
